Hey everyone!

I don't know if anyone's reading this anymore... Anyway: I hope you're all doing fine and remember to watch the Eurovision song contest from Helsinki... Lordi rocks and vote for Hanna ;)

Christmas greetings from Denmark

Hi girls,
I tried to post a message last week but since I'm not particularly technically minded it somehow got lost in cyberspace... I'm studying like a mad man for my exams - my exams in Denmark are somewhat more difficult than the ones I had in Aberdeen. However, I'm taking tomorrow and the day after tomorrow off because my class is having julefrokost (Christmas lunch). We meet up to eat and drink, eat and drink, eat and drink and eat and drink. At julefrokost it is custom to drink snaps galore (disgusting Danish alchohol), so I suspect that I'll be lying in my bed all Thursday.

Well lassies, I wish you all a merry Christmas and a happy New Year! Glædelig Jul og Godt Nytår! Signe

Merry Christmas

Hello Lassies,

Please bear with me the little speech as I wish you all a wonderful Christmas holiday and a giving new year. Please take time to seize the day and enjoy every moment. Life is fragile, and you never know what meets you behind the next corner. Never will I wish my most bitter foe the pain of losing a mother, so please do one thing for me; give your mom an extra hug this year. For me it’s now too late. The emptiness and sorrow are undescribable, but I find comfort in my belief that she looks after me from whatever space or sphere she is in, and will always there to listen to me.

God jul og godt nytt år!

With love, Ann-Kristin

(Ex) Aberdonians Galore

Hi girls,

How is every body doing. I am at work at SUN Microsystems as a buisness admin. The days are sometimes a little long and I am always very glad when it is friday (like today).
You would never guessed, but yesterday Elsje paid me a visit in Leuven. I thinks she wanted to chech out for her self if I am not boasting about my beloved Leuven. You have to ask yourself what she tought of Leuven...
It was really nice and we enjoyed the fine weather here in Belgium. It is around 20° celcius for the moment, which is really hot for oktober. Next week, it is our "halloween holliday" in Belgium and Philip asked me to join him several days in the Ardennen. That is next to the German border, in the fench part of Belgium. Their is more space than in Flanders (which is one of the most occupied places in the world) and i am planning a lot of hiking while there. I am so looking forward to that, especially of my enoying collegue...

I also wanted to say to all you out there, if you feel the urge to come and visit me, do not hesitate...

I am going back to work (just 1 hour more, jippie...)

Hear you later,
tata,
Sarah

what a week

Hey everyone! I've had a quite crappy week which is ending with me getting a fever and shivering in bed. But I'm tired of feeling tired, so I thought I'd write. Last Friday my wallet was stolen... There was only 4 euros in it, but ALL my cards. Bank card, credit card, driving license, student card, library cards etc. etc. What a pain in the ass (+ expensive) to cancel all of them and order new ones! Tuesday I had to travel outside of Helsinki by train and the guy on the train made me pay extra since I wasn't allowed to use a student ticket without my student card. Even though I had a certificate from my university and a police report about the theft. Man! Today I sent some angry feedback to the train company... And yesterday I started feeling ill and now I'm in bed with a cold :( I hope next week is a better one :)

So how is everyone doing? It's been quiet on the blog. Everyone's really busy, I gather. I hope you are all well! Take care and keep your personal belongings in sight ;)

Hallo Maedels,

I hope you're all fine. I'm back in Aberdeen, but more about that another time.
Today I also have a hair-story to tell...
During my time at home I realised that my blond hair is getting darker at the roots. While I was telling that to my sister she proposed to colour it ourselves. If I only knew before...
Actually, my sister bleached my hair two days before I came back here. You cannot image how I looked like! I never touched haircolours before and I'll defintely never do that again! My hair was almost white and it looked as unnaturally as possible.
I almost started crying. But fortunately I could see my hairdresser the next morning and she could help me. Now I almost look like I did before. But as I came there - wearing a baseball-cap, of course - my cousin was sitting there and she and our hairdresser started laughing. So we ended up laughing about my head for a while before I felt so reliefed when I was finally able to watch into a mirror again.
That's enough for today. Maybe I have interesting Aberdeen-news the next time.
Anyway, I hope you are allright.
Pms, Caro
